Love Japanese food. Enjoyed many a great meal in San Jose’s Japantown neighborhood.

Been there a few times when I was working at Stan's Skin & Scuba Diving on Bascom Avenue. One of our Japanese customers owned a general merchandise store there. Although he was in his late 70's, he was still an avid diver. The Divemasters on the Caribbean liveaboards used to fight to be his dive buddy --- always first in and last out.

PO1 Tony Holland Lived in SJ for 30+ years and drove past that place countless times! Had planned to go back this summer for a visit but holding off for now until air travel sorts out some more. We loved living in the Bay Area.

I had the pleasure of going to Japan and several places and islands in Japan for several years. It was a fascinating place with rich history and the food was off the chain. Especially when you found a local older lady that really cooked from her soul and heart. Great place and I ma glad I was afforded the opportunities to go and experience it...especially the local culture outside the big cities.
