So...yes that was wrong. However it wasn't an attempt to stop an election.

In doing some quick research appears this group was mad at the government invading yet another country and placing Marines in danger. That's their reasoning it appears:

"The invasion of Grenada, coupled with the October 1983 bombing of a United States Marines barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, prompted the beginnings of a plan for the left-wing militants to take action. Members of the group felt the United States, led by President Ronald Reagan, had no business meddling in the affairs of Middle Eastern nations or small socialist island states. Thus it was decided to bring awareness to their ideals by bombing the US Senate on November 7, 1983."

"The explosion caused no structural damage to the Capitol. The force shattered mirrors, chandeliers, and furniture. Officials calculated damages of $250,000."

No serious damage. No deaths. No injuries as it was late at night. Supposedly it led to increased security at the Capitol. Hmm.

The group was wrong to place bombs. Yes they were terrorists but it seems their motivation was about the government meddling in the Middle East and Central America. Not an attempted coup.

Bombs are not a way to get their attention or to change policy. I think anyone can agree that.

What is being said is last week was the first time since the War of 1812 adversaries breached and stormed the Capitol.

But keep playing the whataboutism to excuse the terrorists last week. I guess as long as you agree with their ideology it's ok.

I wonder how Americans who have been out of work by mandate, listening to BS from left leaning sold out news media, watching American politicians enrich themselves, listening to a sold out Congress pursue an elected POTUS based on a false predicate, impeach a President on grounds other than provided by the Constitution while ignoring a former Vice-President's quid pro que, watching riots, looting and murder by Neo-Marxists in the streets of large Democrat ran cities...
I wonder if some would reach a breaking point. Just like those terrorists you wrote about.

Cpl Mark A. Morris -
"Pursue an elected POTUS on a false predicate..." Nope.
"Impeach a President on grounds other than provided by the Constitution..." What would that be?
"Watching riots, looting and murder by Neo-Marxists in the streets of large Democrat ran cities..." LOL ok.

But weirdly the only ones who attacked the Capitol to stop the certification of the election were Trump supporters...because for over a year he has said the election is a fraud, that if he lost it's a fraud. But there's no fraud in the states he won weirdly...hmm. Interesting isn't it?

Have a great day.

SFC (Join to see) I noticed you side stepped the truth. I guess, it does not fit your agenda. However, I did expect it.
I will have to wait until investigators are complete to know about voting fraud. I work for a living.

I don't think you can compare the two incidents at all these people tried to take over the government and either kidnap or kill members of Congress in the Senate that's terrorism and insurrection

"these people tried to take over the government and either kidnap or kill members of Congress in the Senate" - first I heard it put that way. Did not realize a trial had already been run and these exact points proven. Sources?

While I agree with many here trying to stop an election is not the same as trying to kill people indiscriminately by bombing a federal building. The left always seem to fail to understand the results of their actions.

From 1995 to 1999, Obama led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.

Mr. Obama was appointed the first chairman of the board, which handled fiscal matters. Mr. Ayers co-chaired the foundation's other key body, the "Collaborative," which shaped education policy.

The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. As mentioned Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has to this day never expressed regret for his actions. As well Barack Obama's first run for the Illinois State Senate was launched at a 1995 gathering at Mr. Ayers's home. Yes his pollical career began the home of the founder of the communist revolutionary group that sought to overthrow imperialism by blowing it up.

I have questions as to were the all the money went - did someone say political campaign?. As well the origins of Obama's political campaign speaks volumes as to how the left have been opening cavort with terrorist and or those that embrace radical ideologies in the open. Not sure about you but I don't get a warm and fuzzy in knowing a guy who tried to blow up the Pentagon is directly involved in policy and or US politics. Its these origins that lead to picks like John Brennan who was the brainchild of repetitive drone strikes and water boarding. Not surprised that Brenna froze when being asked on a polygraph "Have you ever worked with or for a group that was dedicated to overthrowing the US?" or voted for Gus Hall - a communist.

My point being if you condone and excuse Ayer's and others on the left that tried to blow people up you are as well greenlighting others to take like actions against our government regardless of their political affiliation. Both are wrong but the left only seem prefixed on prosecution when the insurrection has a red hue.
