The average American should have an equal chance to succeed financially in an ever-diverging society. I agree absolutely, A fair tax or even better, a sales tax would eliminate all this crony capitalism. The sales tax would tax expenditures not income so very rich people would pay more in taxes than the poor. This is something the liberals and conservatives agree on. The income tax is horrible economically and socially. Unfortunately both parties and the party leaders are the worst partakers in the inequality.
