If Biden was a quartermaster the government would be deeper in debt than what is @LTC David Brown.

After 47 years in office I still wouldn't trust this guy to run a ladies department in a clothing store. To many videos of him sniffing and touching young women and girls. It's disturbing to me.

I remember a time when I got back from Afghanistan and had to clear CIF. Most of my gear went without a hitch, all but one.
I had been issued a spear suit, kind of an upgraded cold weather outfit before the advent of the ECWSS. I didn't spend a lot of time above the snow line, and being from Minnesota, felt that putting that on to walk around Bagram or KAF was for Marys. It had never left the plastic pouch it came in.
A guy on one end of the counter insisted I needed to take it out of the sealed bag and put it on the counter. I complied, despite the lunacy of this. Proceeding to the end of the counter, the guy there picked up the spear suit and proclaimed it dirty, pointing to the dust on it that only could have come from the CIF counter itself. My protestations were ignored; I was told to clean it and come back. Fuming, I cleared the rest of my gear and went to the bench.
Then inspiration struck. I returned to the same counter to the same guys saying I was told to clean this one piece of gear and return. They took it without question, and problem solved.

I lost a $1.50 chin strap and had to drive ve across post to pay for it then drive back. In Korea I was missing a helmet liner strap. An NCO had a duffle bag full of stuff he was selling. Got the strap from him, I think 2 dollars. Saved me a trip to finance. I still wonder about the NCO selling stuff. When I came back from Bosnia the cold weather boots with liners were no longer used so I got to keep them
