Joe Galloway Tribute

Hey Army Aviators - You Are Loved & Appreciated! Joe Galloway is the journalist who co-wrote the book "We Were Soldiers Once, And Young" with Lt. General Hal Moore, the Lt. Col. who led 1st Cav elements in the 1st major battle of the Vietnam War, the Ia Drang Valley fight. Joe was there, and he continued to cover the war throughout. He gave quite the tribute speech to Army Aviators at a VHPA (Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association) Reunion a few years back. It no doubt could be said about all branch helicopter crews and is worth reading. Because he was known around my base camp and we were the direct support unit for Central Highland Army AV units, it's up at my tribute site for our Nam unit; 604th Trans Co.
