@po3 James Deitz the bit about tribalism and survival just prior to the part that you referenced was very interesting as well. He is absolutely right about our modern detachment from the land. The people who live in the farm and cattle country will be much better off at the end of civilization than those in cities. The part you referenced was amazing as well. Funny that things that would be expected as far as knowledge goes in our ancestral people are things that we "dabble in" or we do as a hobby for fun. They did it because they would die without these skills.

Yup, I know some will not watch all of it so I threw a nibble out there. The whole thing needs viewing in my opinion.

This was a good interview and I watched it last year. What most environmental activists (concerned about CO2) don't understand is that the Antarctic ice sheet is over 5000 feet thick, or that the average temperature in Antarctica is 56 degrees below zero. To melt the antarctic ice pack, it would take a cataclysmic event of biblical proportions i.e. >80 degrees of global warming. They are pointing out that at one time, much of that ice was in the northern hemisphere, but melted.
