LTC (Join to see) Hell,it almost takes an "act of congress" to get a suppressor in this state now.

SSgt Terry P. There are gun trust and corporations you can set up which bypasses the local "chief Law Enforcement Officer", but these bills would make it like any other accessory as I under stand it, NO six month waiting period for ATF to process the application.

LTC (Join to see) - I asked about a suppressor for one of my Walther's when i first bought it and was told then about the waiting period and investigation it would entail,so i just dropped the idea.

SSgt Terry P. - Not sure where you are, but if you are interested I would suggest contacting an atty and find out if a gun trust or a corporation would be a better fit. I understand that the waiting time for those is minimal, compared to the 6-8 months for an individual.

They tried this last year as well. I'd love to see it but I doubt it or the Concealed Carry bill will pass.

SCPO Morris Ramsey I love to shoot, when I first got to shoot a suppressed weapon I fell in love with it. Following Europe's lead, it is now legal to hunt with suppressed weapons in many states here in the USA. There are sever hundred thousand suppressors in the hands (safes) of citizens. The problem is the $200.00 tax stamp and the six to eight months it takes to process an application through the ATF. IMO, if/when this bill goes through the free market system will lower the price of these devices and we will see affordable accessories.
