One expression which is used in the Army a lot is, "Drink the Kool-Aid." or in other words, just do what you're told without thinking, no matter how stupid. I always hated this expression since it referenced the Jonestown Massacre. My retort was always, "You realized that those people who drank the Kool-Aid were killing themselves, right?"
