Let's cut to the chase. Two wrongs don't make a right and FBI Director Comey's public announcement (via a letter to Congress) that he's reopening the investigation of Hillary Clinton just 11 days from election day was wrong. Whatever happened to, "We don't discuss ongoing investigations"? Or the well entrenched policy that such announcement will not be made within 60 days of an election day? Or obeying the orders of officers appointed over you (AG Loretta Lynch order Comey to keep quiet)? So yes, Comey was "wrong" on many levels. And no, it won't redeem Comey for his wrong doing in July when he recommended no indictment after his elocution of a prima facie case for indictment for at least two federal felonies (Hillary's failure to safeguard highly secret information and her failure to surrender all official documents as required). And he was wrong to grant immunity to witnesses without requiring that they give testimony. And he was wrong to order the destruction of material evidence in the case. Not just two wrongs, but so many wrongs and nothing right. Well, if you thought this election couldn't get any more bizarre, you were also wrong. And if you think it can't get any more bizarre, just wait...

CPT Jack Durish Speaking of bizarre, I agree with you. Yes, Comey handling of all this was slipshot, to be generous. Yes, him to make an vaguely worded announcement like this 11 days before the election without having obtained a warrant to look at those emails is wrong.
What I also find interesting is how willing everyone was to give Comey a pass when they thought they could use this late breaking incident to (hopefully) convict HRC. To quote my parents, "Believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see." No truer words have ever been spoken, especially in this election.

Bizarre? Absolutely. The fact that you and I converge on a specific topic would indicate that one of us is inconsistent. I am consistent in my opinions because they are founded in bedrock principles. There is nothing in this posting that is inconsistent with anything else I have ever posted. You on the other hand are agreeing that Hillary should have been indicted back in July. How does that square with countless other opinions you've posted?

You just can't take a compliment, can you? The only thing that this proves is 1) you only see what you want to see and 2) that me agreeing with you on a couple of points leads you to believe that I agree with you completely. Reread what I posted. I never agreed that HRC should have been convicted, as you alleged. Only that Comey's vaguely worded announcement like this 11 days before the election without having obtained a warrant to look at those emails is wrong and handling of all of this was slipshot and, as we are now seeing, political. Also if I recall, you were praising Comey for reopening the case based on that vaguely worded announcement. So if anyone is flip-flopping it's you. If anyone is inconsistent it's you. Bedrock of principles. More like a rubber duck in a bathtub that flows in any direction you are pushed
