Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that on June 13, 2006 jurors began deliberations in the trial of Susan Polk, 48, for the October 2002 murder of her psychotherapist husband Felix Polk, 70, in a poolside cottage at the couple’s Orinda, California, home. Felix was stabbed and cut 27 times and had suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
FYI this article has an error since in indicates the sentence was on 2005 when it should read June 16, 2006 which was three days after jurors began deliberations.
"June 16, 2005, Susan Polk was found guilty of second-degree murder. Afterward, jurors explained that they had found her testimony and her account of Felix’s death and difficult to believe. She was later sentenced to 16 months to life in prison, the maximum penalty."
