Killer drivers to receive life sentences

It's about time. Though this is England, consider that using a gun to kill someone, typically results in charges of First or Second Degree Murder or Manslaughter, all of which can carry the possibility of a life sentence. Killing someone with a car typically results in a charge of Vehicular Manslaughter (or similarly named charge) which is treated at a far lower level of penal liability. I hope this makes its way across The Pond to America and legislatures and courts here wake up from the Dark Ages. Yes, I've lost friends and family to car accidents with impaired drivers and the level of punishment in those events was a joke.
