Not sure how I feel about this but I do find it interesting that California is "leading the way" on this topic. Wonder if this will become standard practice across the US?

MSgt Ronald Stacy Sounds good; but now the teachers have one more responsibility not related to teaching. After news reports of students attacking teachers, will we have gun battles in schools?

That sir is actually one of my concerns.......my other would be a student getting the weapon as i'm sure it will eventually get out who/what teachers are armed.
Mixed emotions about this. Its about time we end the gun free easy soft targets for bad people, buts its ashamed we have come to this point
