Koko, the Gorilla Who Used Sign Language, Is Dead at 46

I saw this in an email on science I'd gotten, I just figured you all might want to see it, I was always fascinated by linguistic studies with other species, incl primates and dolphins, that was why this one caught my eye, you know? I mean, it had to happen sooner or later, I'd read that, contrary to some King Kong stereotype, gorillas, I'd heard, were actually quite fragile animals, subject to a good many illnesses, needing fairly considerable veterinary care in captivity, or at least that was my impression, I have no idea whether the age of this one was typical or not, honest, I just thought its notoriety made this worth sending in, honest....
