RP Members another great story about recognizing veterans!
First-graders formed a line down the center of the fifth-floor dining room of the Arkansas State Veterans Home and waited for their cue from music teacher Anthony Lytle.
Lytle started the music, and 38 children began tapping their knees, then shoulders and heads. They spun, stomped their feet and clapped their hands. Jingling tambourines accompanied a song about Hannukah.
Russell Rhodes, who was in the Navy Seabees during the Vietnam War, hummed along with the little voices singing Jingle Bells and We Wish You a Merry Christmas.

Thanks COL Mikel J. Burroughs for sharing an uplifting account about 1st graders singing Christmas songs for veterans at Arkansas State Veterans Home. I am thankful that there are parents who support veterans and that the music teacher Anthony Lytle coordinated the event to the joy of both children and veterans.
