CW5 Jack Cardwell - Hahaha Yep. Pretty funny.
Having been stationed in both Georgia and Florida for 13 years I can identify with the stereotype/stigma. I hate the "Yankee" moniker though. Montana has nothing to do with Yankee except being north of the Mason/Dixon line. I told a few good ol' Georgia boys that Montana had nothing to do with the Civil War and wasn't even a state yet. They didn't seem to get it.

TSgt David L. I was born NJ, lived there 10 years, another 8 years in NY. Other than 2 years in Ohio and 4 in the UK i ave lived in NC, SC, VA, TX, Mississippi and Georgia. When people call a a Yankee i correct them. I am a damned yankee. A yankee is someone from the north, a damn yankee is someone from the north that came south and stayed.
I also like to explain that the only reason they are southerners is because they were born here, I'm a southerner by choice!

Maj Robert Thornton - Hahaha I enjoyed my 10 years in Florida, albeit hot and humid. We have tons of them who come to Montana to hunt so we must have something they like!

I was in Texas at Lackland for 2 months and had picked up some Tsxanisms . Returned north to Mi. To the Reserve Wing ..and along the way found myself getting deploys to W-P AFB by Dayton, Oh. And going to Grissom AFB in Indiana . All of them got their own wordisms for the same words... Along the way I took some notes .. mainly to help myself so I don’t be misunderstood.. And I go back later and the demographics have changed And I got to start my notes over or just make new ones..
