I think she's wrong to say this isn't a racist country as well as Tim Scott; however, here's the difference between the two statements.
Scott's reply was about Biden in his speech saying that the greatest domestic threat is white supremacy. It is the greatest domestic threat. He said that America isn't racist, Democrats shouldn't downplay strides in the country and glossed over the racial and ethnic problems in the US.
Harris said she doesn't think America is racist but that we can't ignore the realities of racism in the US and to speak the truth about the history of racism in this country and its existence today. That there are issues we have to confront to heal the country and unify people - and ignoring those realities doesn't help healing and unity.
Biden said that we need to find ways to root out systemic racism in the criminal justice system - and we do. It's there. Every system in this country was founded on racism. Those are facts and can't be ignored. The more we ignore and deny it, then nothing is going to change.
Scott continually downplays racism whenever he talks about it as do many conservatives. That's the key difference.

It’s amazing how when a white personal says anything about race relations they are told they can’t have an opinion because they don’t live in that world and don’t know. But when a person of color says something you don’t agree with suddenly they also don’t know and can’t have an opinion. So who can? Just the left and those that agree with you. I have seen you constantly comment on these issues from the lefts stand point. I saw you make a comment on the DS in SC being racist for saying “you don’t belong here”. I don’t see you calling out racism when someone says something actually racist like calling Tim Scott “Uncle Tim” which is about a racist as you can get without using the N- word. Wow. Just wow. Your colors sure are showing.

1SG (Join to see) Lol I'm not affiliated with any political party. I think politics parties are stupid. I said both Kamala and Tim are wrong. I can see why Kamala is letting Biden speak on white supremacists as a threat though. She's already had multiple threats I'm sure. I can see her saying this to ease tensions. But they're wrong that it's not a racist country.
Who said they can't have an opinion???? Lol I never said that. Exaggerate much?
How about get off your high horse? Did anyone on here say Uncle Tim? Nope so who would I call out? I have posted on other outlets asking Democrats what they think of Kamala agreeing with Scott.
You don't know me so stfu. For real.

LTC David Brown Yesterday's Democrats are today's Republicans. Stop ignoring the platforms switched. Also stop the bs with there isn't racial injustice in our criminal justice system. There is. Smh.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff - name me ne of the southern Democrats that was a racist that switched parties? Robert Byrd? Al Gore’s dad? William Fulbright? They are still honoring Margaret Sanger. Oh she approved Hitler’s eugenics program. I mean Hillary Clinton honored Sanger! This isn’t the far distant past. Smh

To say Americans are not racist is the same as saying I love everybody. Nonsense; If Americans have to ask themselves if they are racists they have a problem. I was born, in Deadwood, South Dakota. My great uncle came to Deadwood in 1878 at 17 years old. He built the first roads in Deadwood. Deadwood evolved into a town as seen in the series Deadwood. Deadwood by law should have been part of the great Sioux Nation reservation, or something like that. But gold was discovered and white people moved in. You cannot take Black Hills gold out of the hills without killing, and dehumanizing someone, and and again you cannot kill anyone without dehumanizing them first. They justified taking this gold rich property by racially dehumanizing native Americans. Most of South Dakotans are still a bit racist. Most Americans in my opinion are racists.
