Makes you wonder why all state don't exempt military retirement?
Some states are real generous and give a $2,000 income exemption, then agin some give none.

Considering that the federal government doesn't exempt military retirement pay from taxes, we're lucky any states do.

I live in Texas, and I have heard that this is a great state to retire in.
