Interesting information. I never thought much about elevation effecting FPS but it makes sense. I live at 3000 feet and practice at the elevation. However, where I go hunting is around 9000 feet elevation. Since most of my shots are less than 200 yards, it hasn't been an issue yet. But its something to consider for future.

Not a major issue for me. I used to shoot a 30-06, it was my deer rifle. I really only used it out to about 150 yds. I finally sold it and purchased a bolt action 223 /5.56. My range has a 100 yd indoor range, unless I head up to my farmland in NC that is about the max distance i shoot. If i ever was to find an area I could safely shoot longer distances, then I would take the information above into consideration.
