It definetly doesn't hurt to get out into the open, there is always someone that will listen.

SGT David A. 'Cowboy' Groth The one sentence that struck me the most in the article was "And somehow, saying it, and hearing it, and knowing that we weren’t alone in it all, and that we didn’t have to be such goddamn alpha males all the time, and that it was okay to open up every now and then, made us all feel a little bit better."
The funny thing about modern society is in our touchy feely neutered society, service members are still viewed as these stoic, nothing gets to you, kill the bad guys, defend your nation, badasses that nothing can touch. Until we move past that mentality, and start addressing mental health as just as necessary as physical health, this issue cannot be resolved.

True..."there is always someone that will listen."
Also true
"there is always someone listening" and therein lays the issue. Its not who YOU choose to talk to, its who is listening and or told what was said.

Sgt (Join to see) Thanks for sharing this. I admittedly have not read deep into the paper yet, but what I have read so far, seems like a good resource for setting up an outreach program. Thank you for sharing.
