An article from the Small Wars Journal on Large Scale Combat Operations or LSCO … the old saying goes, that we're always trying to fight the last war, but focus on LSCO is trying to prepare our nations military for future battles it may face against peer and near-peer adversaries like Russia, China and other nefarious nations. Yes, both nations would be foolish to attack the US or our allies, but we must be prepared to fight large-scale force on force battles against larger armies vs. against terror networks. The former is much harder to do than the latter. Let the Special Forces concentrate on battling asymmetric threats like terror organizations & the rest of the military can ramp up for LSCO. Enjoy!
