Lt Col George Goodson, USMC (Ret) Lays It on the Line

I received an email from someone who has copied this story. I didn't want to share it without first checking it out. Luckily, the link was easily found. It's a moving story. My first three months in Vietnam were spent in the Division Casualty Reporting Office. We were at the other end sending soldiers home to people like LTC Goodson and the next of kin. Three months was more that I wanted to suffer. Fortunately, after cleaning up the office, they found other problems for me to tackle.
