I don't know what's worse, guys that lie about being in the military, or guys that exaggerate their service in the military. Folks need to embrace what they did and be satisfied with their career. Wishing you had done more, and saying you did more are two different things.
I mean I was the first door gunner on the Space Shuttle, but I don't go around bragging about it! LOL

Yep, they're always a SEAL team 6 Delta Force ninja Ranger. Of course they can't go into too much detail because it's all classified.

I spent a little time in the Army in the late 70s. I was not any of the shit y’all saying these guys said they where. I sure as hell was not a ninja Ranger. That’s funny. Or a fucking sniper. You could not get me to do that shit. But I do respect the men that does do it. All the hours they spend crawling through shit barely moving, my hat is off to you sir.
All I did was operate heavy equipment. I was a 62 foxtrot. That’s a crawler crane opperater. And I planted dynamite were we needed it and blew shit sky high. And loved shooting the M-60 every chance I got. That is all I did in the service. Was not much but I’m still proud I served my country.

PV2 Scott: Thanks for telling it like it is. I have met guys claiming to be Vietnam vets (usually wearing the Vietnam Veteran hat) & welcomed them home. When I asked what unit they were in & where in country & sometimes got the "It's Classified" response. I would ask what their MOS was. When they fumbled their answer or told me they were infantry (but didn't know 11B was their MOS) I would tell them BS. Engineers always had extra demo so we were always blowing stuff up. Essayons!

POW Network is awesome. Several years ago I shared with them my concern over someone claiming to have been a Vietnam POW. They investigated and busted him.
