Imsaw something interesting about that a few days agommarconi had the modern patent around the 1910-20 range he lost it by the supreme Court I believe in 1943 to Nikola Tesla who had just passed away during ww2. Marconi improved radio and marketed it however there's been considerable effort by many in the IEEE the major u.s. and Intl elec engrg org to have Loomis and or the other nearly simult patenters after the civil war declared the true inventors or so I've read.
