Man going to prison after false claim of military service

I am glad that justice has caught up with this impostor, poser, and faker! A Lieutenant Colonel no less and he still sought to defraud our gov't and fellow soldiers who deserve these benefits. Shame on you sir!

How in the hell do these people get away with this? Someone is not doing their job, and fully checking out these claims.

As an 8 year airborne infantry combat veteran, I have back and knee injuries that are service related that I am fighting with the VA over. PTSD is not one of them. My mothers ex-husband filed for and received VA, PTSD payments for stress he claims to have had over being drafted during the Korean conflict. His military service was 2 years stationed in New York. Wrong, wrong and wrong!
