As it turns out it's worse than already revealed. We will now need to re-enroll annually for "Select" which replaces Standard and Extra, and the fees are huge for grandfathered beneficiaries. Obviously someone is pulling a fast one!

LCDR Rabbah Rona Matlow Thanks for sharing. There are going to be be a lot of changes and transformations with TRICARE over the next couple of years. The plan is for a smooth transition, but I doubt it. One of my duties is TRICARE Customer Service, I fear that with the transition, several beneficiaries will have lapses in their coverage because their EBT payments will not get processed or their will be data corruption when DEERS is updated to reflect the new beneficiary categories. The beneficiaries that are not near an MTF will feel the cost/fee changes the most.

Too true. But how? We have an all GOP CONgress, and they are the ones pushing this!
