Sure didn't help Romney in the last election, nor did Puerto Rico. Rubio badly damaged his reputation by the dumb attacks on Trump, hurting himself and helping Trump. You have always heard, "Rolling with the pigs in the mud is a loser, you get dirty and the pigs love it." The fear of Trump is so pervasive on the left and right, that they think they can trump his antics (strategies), they can not. The mistake made by all his opponents is not to have sold the public on their ideas and policies, while telling them, once again, that they have learned the flaw in not listening to the voting public. This fear of Trump may just be the ticket for him to get a front row seat at the inauguration of his presidency.
