I find it odd that we allow a government body to be the arbiter of ones religious beliefs, that only 2 of over 3k were approved seems to be a violation of the 1st amendment and RUPLA. It is akin to them only recognizing certain beliefs/religions/tenants which kind of flies in the face of "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" .

LCpl William Harrison - So you wish to be the arbiter of one's faith? The audacity to claim to have such knowledge of the divine and an individuals faith. It is bad enough when an individual delves into this taks another completely when the Government does ( that damn pesky Constitution).

Lt Col Charlie Brown They didn't say in the article but I wonder why these two stood out so much they granted the exemption. I'm sure they won't disclose it because it would open a flood gate of requests for the same reason.

I find it interesting that the Marines are the first branch to do this. In line with their motto First to Fight?
