You have got to be kidding me. That is not hazing. That is/was an every hour occurrence on Parris Island. I suspect this guy had real issues and simply could not hang. Parris Island is supposed to be hard, it is supposed to push you to the limit. If making a recruit run back and forth and popping him on the chops is too much perhaps we should just close the depot and call it done.

I was dogged, pushed, struck, thrown, throttled, choked, denied food, PT'd until I almost passed out etc. etc. etc. That was a daily occurrence. Now people want to ruin a number of Marines careers because of a likely non hacker. It is unfortunate he killed himself. People under stress can do stupid things.

If you want to be a Marine it better be. Unless we think we are going to be encountering feckless enemies that use non lethal weapons we better stay tough, hard and ready. Listening to the whiners about thing are too hard and yelling isn't nice etc is not going to help is us make warriors.

Culture of abuse my ass! It's a culture of making a Marine! Non-hacking PC punks don't deserve the title.

If I may say so, all of this is horrific; and possibly inexcusable.
