It appears that you take the same or similar stance as Will and Ariel Durant, however their supporting statement also includes the primary reason that that stance is wrong or irrelevant. And it is this: "As ambassador (Jefferson) to France (1785–89) he absorbed much from both Voltaire and Rousseau..." And that is a very fundamental flaw in this discourse.
It seems though from your blog statements that you appear to be very jealous of Mr. Levin, you have not presented any evidence that your ideas, from you had an influence on Mr. Levin's ideas or philosophy. Unfortunately for your argument in that regard, there is ample evidence to the contrary of your claim to the 'ban sharia' branding. In that regard you claim 2014, however that claim can be easily disproven since it has been around since even before 2011, which at a minimum 3 years prior to your claim. Also, you look nothing like nor appear to be as old as David Yerushalmi who posited this branding long before you did, why do you not give him credit?

Joxua Luxor - Get over your egotistical BS. As far as your Google link is concerned, are you kidding me? Pictures of memes and images? Really, that is your supporting statement? Get your head out of your fourth point of contact.
And yes, you're jealous of Mr. Levin whether you believe it or not, and it is apparent to other people.
I have probably read more than either you or Mr. Levin combined. Yes, I have read Rousseau's 'The Social Contract,' along with his 'Discourse on the Origin and Basis of Inequality Among Men,' (which by the way is a good primer, prior to reading Thomas Clarkson's 'An Essay on the Slavery and Commerce of the Human Species, particularly the African'). I am also well read on the works of and about Niccolo Machiavelli (as most other well read military men should be), as well as the reputed works of Sun Tzu (specifically 'The Art of War').
And you teaching Mark Levin anything about politics and political philosophy? How old are you? ROFLMAO!

I think it is obvious that you are suffering vicarious butthurt for Mark Levin. You failed to address the original question and instead attacked me. I am 40 how old are you? Richard Dawkins coined the term meme and as a linguistic philosopher I used that medium for communicating to a new age. "The medium is the message." Marshall McLuhan.

The reason that the Ban Sharia advocacy went viral in the past two years is specifically because of my unique approach and psycholinguistic abilities. And what you choose to categorize as "Egotism" is more accurately Self Esteem.

Joxua Luxor - Really? I could give a shit less for Mark Levin. I despise egotistical stupid punks that do not have a clue and want to blame their problems on someone else and want to claim someone else's work as their own.
Your age also show's that you do not have a clue about Mr. Levin or myself, nor probably your parents for that matter. And yes disproving your statements about words and images that were created and used extensively before you were born? Well that proves enough as it is.
Attack you - Sure, since you continue to prove your lack of knowledge. As far as being a linguistic philosopher, you have proven that you are no such thing. As far as Richard Dawkins is concerned, well your a prime example of why he has shied away from this particular subject; especially since he personally acknowledges that the thematic idea behind that and the term came about long before he was even born.
And then your psycholinguistic claims - jerk my other leg, and make an offer on a bridge that I would like to sell you.

I couldn't get past the first paragraph of that blog. The pomposity was overwhelming.

Mm, Hmm, thank you for your comment, but how am I wrong about Mark Levin's perspective on Jean-Jacque Rousseau?

Joxua Luxor - As I said, I couldn't get past the first paragraph, so I have no idea about your perspective on Levin's perspective on Jean-Jacque Rousseau. Read the opening paragraph again and tell me if you think it's a fitting introduction to the topic. I don't. If the writing in the first paragraph is any indication of what the rest of the article is like, I'm simply not interested in reading it.

And just so you know, I originally started reading the article because I was interested in what it might have to say. The writing style killed that interest.

I know about my history with Mark Levin. I don't read people that don't read me. I know why Mark Levin wasn't on Sean Hannity for several months. I know how I was part of that equation. I asked Levin a question which he hasn't answered. He was only allowed back on Hannity after he joined the Trump Train. If I had more disposable income I could afford to waste more of my time, but I don't.

Read his books! His latest book provides context. Jefferson was mostly inspired by Locke's interpretation of the individual who has inalienable Natural Rights. Rousseau had a "bleak view of the individual" and dismissed the idea of the Natural Law. Chapter three, The philosopher Kings, explains his interpretation of Rousseau's writings in depth. The author of that essay is misleading his followers and sounds like he has an agenda to discredit Levin.

All I can tell you is call his show and keep trying. He can be bombastic, but he reserves that behavior toward anyone who talks over him, tries to put words into his mouth or takes a combative stance.

Joxua Luxor Dude Redefining Americanism is like 14 bucks, if you are too poor to buy the book, you should probably be spending more time finding a better job than calling into talk radio shows.

Mark makes a pretty good case in his last three books, try reading them before coming to a debate without your research.

MAJ (Join to see) I just realized he wrote the article and it's fairly obvious his name is a pen name. Having read Levin's books and have been listening to his show since 2008, it's fairly obvious this civilian "member" is trolling us.

Cpl (Join to see) - I stopped caring when he says he can barely afford rent but calls into radio talk shows all the time.
