We started sending guy's after 2003 and when we were doing constant deployments to Iraq and working out in the towns and doing check points and polling stations. We then had a team that became certified by the Marines in 2010. The only Navy unit and guys to ever be certified by the Marines. Loved the program it helps just like they say and we have guys doing it on deployment all the time.

I'd read this of that and the army combatives program, I'd seen various things about both on YouTube, as well. I personally love aikido and iaido, I've just gone to two seminars, one an aikido/iaido mix, the other just aikido, over the past month. I wish I'd done both when I'd been in, back when dinosaurs roamed the Earth in the Pleistocene, but what are you going to do, that was then, this is now, oh, well, lol...

I was lucky enough to have wrestling in my background from high school. I started doing tae kwon do while I was in Korea and then picked up traditional tang so about 10 years ago. During that time that's when I become a level 3 combatives. I just love the physical nature of wrestling to martial arts.
