No one cares about Afghanistan any more. It's old news. Instead the politicians are figuring out how we can go to war with Russia in Ukraine.

Sgt (Join to see) - US politicians? Try the American people. Politicians just grovel to whatever sentiment the public has. As long as it keeps them in office.

SSG (Join to see) - To a degree I believe you are right. I also believe the mainstream medias have been advocating more than reporting honestly. If this doesn't self correct soon our Country will be lost, that is the values we are founded on that have provided us the standard of living we enjoy will be lost along with the benefits. It will be interesting to see what happens in 50 years. I will only be a memory in my grandchildren's minds.

SSG (Join to see) - Absolutely the American people too. They're blissfully uninformed and most will go in whatever direction the politicians point them in. They'll focus on whatever shiny new thing they're told to focus on my the media, which is controlled by the left.

SFC (Join to see) - Sadly I think we're already seeing it being lost. Not even lost, but given away.

maybe the people need to raise up. because no one cares anymore we wasted our time lives and Honor. And the only people that care were there at least once or have a soul.

The Afghan people aren't going to do a thing but suffer. If there was a time to rise it would have been after we left but no. The Taliban took over in less than 2 weeks

SSG John Oliver - We stay in Germany 80 years and they thum their nose at us most of the time. We have different societies (tribes) in one nation that need generations to gain knowledge and overcome old fears from their barbarian past, and we cut off their support after 20 years, when it wasn't costing us much to stay there? The intelligence we received from having boots on the ground there more than paid for the help we were providing.

The average Afghani has no concept of a “Nation” outside his region and the whole stinking place really only produces dust and dope.
Afghanistan is actually much like the DC Beltway and our politicians.

I understand the tribal mentality of the middle east. For better or worse they were grouped together in the mid 1900’s in countries not of their making. I believe they understand people in different areas (different tribes if you will) affect almost everything that affects their lives. Of course, as is in our country also, the more rural you get, the more independent the peoepl are.
