PO1 Tony Holland This is not at all surprising. He was Marine. He was a leader of Marines. He was a leader of Joint forces. There is no reason at all to think he would suddenly become a yes man upon a political appointment. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that he stayed on message during this meeting.

Good. We've had enough department heads sucking up prior to Jan 2017. It's time for straight shooters, not yes men.

The article was a POS written by (I was going to say another POS, but) someone pushing his own agenda. Trump starts a lot of his meetings with the round of introductions, and this was the first full cabinet meeting. If anyone thinks it's bad for people to express gratitude for being chosen by the President of the United States to be part of the administration, in a room full of like-minded people, at a time in the meeting when it's appropriate to do so, then the people complaining just want to complain about something they can link to Trump.
