Thanks for sharing MSgt Neil Greenfield. I concur that Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis response "I’m the Secretary of Defense,” “We defend the country” is short and too the point.
I receive Task and Purpose as well as Duffle Blog each day.
Some of this article was spot on while other comments were more like Duffle Blog.
such as "While Trump ... has spent what feels like every recent waking moment threatening the NFL (and North Korea!) over issues of patriotism and respect"
The POTUS has spent most of his time like the PTUS' before him working on much more important issues - most of which can not be discussed on this net.

Fascinating that ANY active duty and veterans would even get pissed off about the kneeling. I'm sure everyone ran inside when colors or taps is about to be played. The hypocrisy is truly entertaining.

Not to be picky here ... but from the article "... Mattis’s eight-word response ..."
... is actually nine words, ten if you uncontract the contraction. Jared Keller at "Task and Purpose" can't count. ;)
