How about the Ben Franklin electric chair. The kite with the key... connected to a wire tied to his walnuts.

I am for the death penalty but I am also for due process. What I mean is that I believe the Death Penalty should be used to deter crime. If someone is found guilty I believe there should be a period of 5 years for them to exhaust all appeals because there have been cases, few but some cases, where an innocent person was exonerated form death row due to new evidence. If that evidence doesn't surface and the appeals are heard and the convictions are upheld then use the Death Penalty to carry it out and end the lifelong cost to the taxpayers to keep a murderer alive and the victims families from reliving the incident and allow them to get justice.

I would agree partly. While due process is a right afforded to all citizens, the appeal process should only be used in cases where a conviction is circumspect. Yes there are instances of exoneration after conviction, but if your caught red handed or plead guilty, execution should be performed quickly.
