This plan is so shortsighted. The armed forces need a robust and trained force of doctors, nurses, and med techs/corpsmen to support our troops in peacetime and in war. This plan will do nothing but degrade our ability to care for our troops and their families.

We are seeing the results already here at Ellsworth pharmacy. They have 3 windows for picking up prescriptions. In the past they were all open during the duty days. Now, only 2, and sometimes 1 window is open due to shortage of qualified individuals. Five years ago it took about 10 minutes to get your prescription. We went there yesterday and it took almost an hour.
Sad.
BTW:
From the article:
"Congress authorized the DoD in 2017 to revamp its medical system, with an aim to curb the rising costs of providing medical care for 9.6 million service members, military retirees and their families."
