Been a month now since I ruptured a disc in my back. terrible pain and lots of codone. Still no word from physical therapy. two hours to get hold of VA. they said they'll get back to me as soon as possible. Any ideas?

Take it easy! I had a partial disc rupture when on active duty and they kept me in the hospital flat on my back for a month. When they released me to go home I could only get out of bed to go to the bathroom for another month. All in all it was around 5 months before they cleared me for light duty and just about a year before I was cleared to fly. Our Flight Surgeon was not a fan of back surgery and wanted the bed rest procedure, looking back, and knowing a few who have had back surgery, I'm glad he felt that way. Being on active duty was fortunate, you still got paid, not sure that's true in the civilian world which is probably why back surgery is so popular.
