I guess we will have to wait and see how the President's initiatives for the VA hospitals work out. It sure wasn't anything positive under the last administration.

You're spot on with your assessment of the last administration.

So, are you saying you liked the way the VA had been managed over the past 40 years? Perhaps, you meant that you'd prefer it be managed the way it has been since the 1970's because that is better than anything Pres. Trump might do? There are programs within the U.S. gov't that run right and shouldn't be changed for change sake....the VA "ain't" one of them.

Its how the government works. There is an Agency, in this case the VA, and it has a person that is nominated by the president and approved by the senate. That person is responsible for everything the VA does and fails to do. The only reason it has anything to do with Trump is because he is the current president and he is allowing this to happen. Over the last 40 years, there have been problems, but when those problems are discovered, the person(s) in charge have been held accountable. This shadow group will never be held accountable. Could you imagine having a group of people that ran the DoD of the books?

CPT Adam P. - Have they really been held accountable? I know there has been some local VA hospital employees that have been arrested for misconduct, but has any national level leadership ever been held accountable for systemic program failure?

Swamp.
No thank you, to shifting Veteran care to
the Mar-a-Lago Crowd.
Don't need to shift Veteran care to academic medical centers. Don't need non-Veteran buddies to be involved in Veterans care. Fleece another agency.

MSgt Kurt S. It is you who claimed someone had a cog loose, while referencing Henry Ford's help to the Federal war effort, as irrelevant as it was. You, who also attacked another poster and his comments.
When asked for facts, you ignore and deflect, and only offer two personal experiences 19 years apart.
Then, when provided actual facts, you deflect that the messenger can yell and scream, deflecting again.
I see what we have here.
Happy Veteran's Day to you, but slow down on that Kool Aide.
The VA is broke, been broke under both parties, and while many of the same Members of Congress have sat on VA related committees, yet it is always more of the same. It's not one party who have failed Veterans, it is both. If you can't admit that, you have succumbed to the Kool Aide.

MSgt Kurt S. I see that you turn to cyber stalking when you cant make a legitimate argument, or when someone calls you on garbage. I posted one source, so your claim of being heavily embalmed with liberal sources lacks integrity, as does your cyber stalking.
For the record, I won my case with the VA and am able to hunt, fish, and travel as I wish thanks to the settlement and disability retirement their behavior caused.
However, that had absolutely nothing to do with the discussion, and you should seek help for taking an internet conversation so personal that you spend time researching a stranger.
