I've met him, I've briefed him when he was the ISAF CSM, listed to his positions on the force, the joint force in Afghanistan and been heard on specific points I felt important. He seems to me as a genuine leader always on the lookout for a better idea, a fact or idea from the on the ground leader.

I knew him when he was a SFC and just got promoted to 1SG. that was the mid 90's, 3rd Bn, 73rd Armored Regiment (that is real old school). Great guy, knew he was going places. He had a .50 cal mount in his office that he called "the hurt". If you F'd up, you had a date with the hurt. Good times and a hell of a leader.

I can't agree more SGM. I felt the exact same way when I met him. A leader that truly cares and gives a damn about all branch of the military.

CSM (Join to see) Best wishes to him, if he impressed Gen Dunford, he has to be really good.
