I've been a mentor with my civilian employer through the ACP program for a while now. It has actually been a pretty good experience. It is a good program for most. I have had 1 mentee before that I asked to get reassigned though because of difficulties. The other 3 vets I have helped have done pretty well for themselves and enjoyed the program. 2 of my mentees have been females and 1 has been a male. I definitely recommend people participate in the program both transitioning veterans and also some of us reservists or vets who have successful civilian careers and want to pass that along to the transitioning vets.

Another great program for women veterans, service members, or dependents looking at starting a business or are existing entrepreneurs is V-WISE. They accept 200 participants each session and is zero cost for participating.
