There has never been a huge amount of conservatives in the field of Journalism, Psychology and Sociology. I can't say for sure why that is, but it's just a fact. Looking at the biggest numbers of professions for self described liberals and conservatives shows this. Of course, there needs to be a presentation of information from multiple perspectives, but to say there is some broad liberal conspiracy is a bit of a stretch.

Not true, journalism has plenty of conservatives and was far more centrist in the 40's, 50's and into the 60's,. That started changing in the 70's and beyond. Psychology and sociology are soft sciences. They are more behavioral in nature and are far more subjective/hard to prove out so they lend themselves to people who want to influence society with little solid factual basis.

I don't think Walt Williams was suggesting a conspiracy. I think he was pointing out the current state of affairs on many college campuses and how it has metastasized over the years. Colleges draw leftists because they are safer places and are not part of the capitalist system many do not like. There is an old saying that rings true to me about too many in teaching, particularly at the college level. Those that can, do. Those that cannot, teach.

A very important topic. More veterans in academia would sure help this problem a lot.

I don't see this as necessarily a problem. This article is looking at the subject with a predetermined bias.
