I lived in Tampa FL. For many years and went to the James Halley VA Hospital there, it was a great experience, when I left to come back to Texas they were expanding for more operating rooms as well as ICU/CCU rooms, there is a research department and is a Teaching Hospital for USF. I guess I got spoiled. I live in San Angelo Tx, I have a CBOC here that to me 50/50 at best, I have the best Psychiatrist I have ever had, however not so much on my

I hit the post button lol any way to continue. The VA hospital I have to go to is in Big Springs, Texas which is an hour and a half away by shuttle. The only services that I have seen are the lab, eye doctor, and hearing. I had to fight tooth and nail to get Veterans Choice to let me see a Doctor here, they wanted to send me to Lubbock Texas, I live on a small none service connected disability pension. I also have an emotional support animal (Buster) to go to Lubbock is a few hours travel if you have a car, I however do not. For me it's a 3 day event. The bus there runs one time a day that's at 6pm so I have to spend the night in a hotel, then go the the clinic there the next day, it doesn't matter what time it is as the return bus runs at 6am the next day. We have to jump through so many hoops it's unbelievable. Sorry I wanted this is just a sore subject for me.
