As much as I love my child if I knew she was going to shoot up the school I would have called the cops, gotten her help and none of this would have happened...from what I have read all of this was preventable at multiple levels...parents need to be parents it best friends...we will see how it plays out but the fact that mom had foresight on it, well she should be charged as well.

Lt Col Scott Shuttleworth Parents wanting to be their child's best friend is something I see every day as a teacher. You are correct, this whole tragedy could have been avoided if the parents had just taken action when they knew about it and got this kid help. I have still to read anything about why he did it. What was his motive?

He sounds like a psychopath. I'm sure his lawyer will try to say he was bullied. But generally none of these school shooters were ever bullied and it ultimately happened because shitty home life. The Columbine shooters weren't bullied. They idolized McVeigh and actually planned to bomb the school. That fell through so the backup plan was shooting.
Parkland he shot the school because his mom worked there.
I believe the others it generally was similar and really none of them were bullied.
Even IF he was, it's no excuse. It seems like generally these school shooters are just psychopaths or sociopathic.

SFC (Join to see) - Tracking. I am still curious as to the why part. His parents certainly didn't help the situation from what I've read. And if they had any knowledge of his plans...and it kind of sounds like it does...then they should burn as well. But I am curious as to why the kid shot up the school.

MSG (Join to see) The parents and the school both knew. The parents are charged and the school is getting off Scott free and the school sdnt him back to class where he proceeded to start shooting. Why haven't school officials been arrested
