I've always said that 3-D Printers are large scale ribosomes. Doctors are already using 3-D printers to scaffold vertebrae and we have seen results in nanomachines creating molecular bridges. All you need is the algorithm and building materials Capt Daniel Goodman

Your analogy is quite perceptive, admittedly, however, that wasn't entirely my object. I've been examining papers by authors in sevl counties, mainly on http://www.Arxiv.org, a preprint site for serious articles, on the role of quantum topological group theory, as related to viewing genomic content as actual complex or hypercomplex valued software, of an unknown computing architecture. Please understand, since my total perm disability, I need some creative intellectual outlet, thats been my main oone for some time. I'd be glad to explain further, however, if you might perhaps elaborate on how much serious engineering, physics, !ath, comp sci, chem, and bio coursework you've had, undergrad or grad, I'd be most eager to hear more. Clearly, you've had some serious level of training, that much is apparent, if you could perhaps tus elaborate somewhat, I'd find your views, and further discussion, quite useful, interesting observation, one I hadn't considered, many thanks...

It does get quite involved !mathematically, however, if you'd be amenable, I'd ne glad to explain, certainly, by all means...

Evidently, others had your sa!e thohght...quite apt computational analogy, fascinating in fact...

What is a good analogy for a ribosome? | Cell Biology
Ribosomes, large rRNA/protein complexes residing outside the nucleus, are universal protein/RNA structure assemblers. In the DNA, there are ribosome encoding genes, and the cell somehow knows when it is time to send a request into the nucleus ordering the mRNA needed to build more ribosomes (which is done by ribosomes — a recursive process!)
