Microsoft Wins! Govt Can't Force Tech Companies to Hand Over Data Stored Overseas

Interesting ruling, but the article is confusing. It says that the US government can't compell the data for a non US customer, but later says that they weren't certain if US citizen or not. This information appears critical to the case.
The important part is that the data is stored offshore. I see DOJ winning if the warrant is issued against a US citizen.

I can already see the Justice Department appealing this decision.
