I would rather hope that it's possible to see it again down the road, but we haven't seen presidents with real success with an opposing majority since Reagan and Clinton.

Which part is not good, the first two years or the last two? I personally prefer that Congress is not fully aligned with the President, as each party can pass some ridiculous laws. Having to work with the opposite party saves some ignorant laws from passing.

I don't think it is such a good thing either. I would rather see some folks in the legislature being elected each year. (It would be easy enough create a good schedule for potential changes, or affirmation, each year - for anyone who has ever scheduled maintenance for a motor pool, lol.)
The way a president functions changes at mid-term, supposedly - however when it is not a second term and there is not excessive partisanship to the point of dysfunction, the second two years might be used differently than the way the article suggests - to the advantage of a well liked and respected president, imho.
