The cost of beating the Navy fleet would have exhausted the Japanese task force of ordnance as well not counting battle losses.

it was very possible the balance of forces if the naval battle was lost was overwhelming. I guess the people in the video seem to have forgotten wake Is

Yes and no they would have lost the ground game and Japanese shortcomings on the bombings because resistance was much higher then Japanese could have possibly been predicted.

Look at a map ofbthe ocean near Midway. They could have brought warshipsnwithin pistol range of the defenses and I have been there and there is no terrain on the island that could be called defensible. No place ti hide and you really can not dig in deep or hide.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr I would normally agree with you there but Japanese were concerned with the coral that surrounds midway prevented the ships from coming closer they didn't have particularly accurate maps and they knew that.
