As military members we have had the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time in some less than pleasant countries. I lived in Panama when it was under Noriega and tensions were a bit high. I also lived in Turkey (when it was a good assignment), and worked with the Turkish Jandarma on Town Patrol. Between the two countries I definitely did not want to have an personal interaction with either's law enforcement types. While our law enforcement system is not perfect, it's a hell of a lot better than most around the globe. Maybe Ditka is right. Maybe they should go live in "sketchy" country for an off season. Maybe they will come back with an appreciation for what we have, much like I did.
