The Tehran Conference was a meeting between U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and Soviet Premier Joseph Stalin in Tehran, Iran, between November 28 and December 1, 1943. It would be the summit that would kick off the Cold War. Soviet leader Joseph Stalin had missed the first conference in Casablanca.

Later at Yalta in 1945, President Roosevelt, Prime Minister Churchill, and Premier Stalin made important decisions regarding the future progress of the war and the postwar world as the war was coming to an end. At the July 1945 Potsdam Conference Stalin, Churchill (replaced on July 26 by Prime Minister Clement Attlee), and President Harry Truman met to determine the postwar borders.
