When I first got out I went to ITT Tech and it was a joke. It felt like all the business who line up outside the base to take advantage of the servicemen. Later, I found a college that offered adult learning on the weekends to finish your degree. Don't fall for these schools and I use that term loosely.

I agree with Sgt. McConnell, I too have had many of my fellow vets get fooled by these offerings, invest their time and get little reward out of the cert or documents received. But in defense, the training is not always invalid, it's more so the recognition not equal to those of well known schools in the workplace. I know several grads from ITT, that know their craft well from the school, but the job pool was limited to those handshakes with the schools. Rule of thumb...stay away from daytime tv commercial college offerings! Go traditional until you know what it's worth.

I did not fall for it. Some of my vet friends have gone through I.T.T. Buried in student loan debt. and hard to find jobs... And if it is a management job they usually want a degree from an accredited university or college. Such a True article.. Thanks for sharing COL Mikel J. Burroughs
