Great share. Part of the problem is some vets don't even know what help is available.

I would never argue this. I will say that in all my years, every time an unprotected need arise the Garrison made sure that the residence was quickly compliant. It is not fair to say that the military should have x set aside, as society does not. Bottom line is that the DODs responsibility is to make the accommodation as it arises, and to accommodate temporary quarters while the repair is made.
